Bird & Flower mobile

My very first mobile for my niece.

gray bird.
Welcome to Pickledilly Circus! Here are some of the things that I have been working on for the past two years. I have combined patterns I have found online with ideas of my own to create a lot of these projects. One type of project that I really love doing is baby mobiles. So far, I haven't made any two the same...I have made 11 now and although some are similar, they are not exactly alike. I made my first mobile just two years ago. Each takes an average of 50 hours from designing them, making patterns, and then sewing them by hand. Sometimes the first pattern doesn't work out the way I'd like so I start again. As I go along on my blog, I am hoping to add patterns and instructions for making the mobiles, at least with the ones I have designed the patterns for myself. Otherwise, I will include the links for the websites where I found the patterns.
Greta's mobile completed.
I incorporated coral colored
beads and ribbon to match
her nursery.
Each of the birds on this mobile is just over 7.5 cm (3")long. The flowers are 5 cm (2") across. All are made from craft felt.
